Did You Know The Choral Boosters...

  • Raise thousands of dollars every year to help cover fees, transportation costs, costumes, music purchases, and much more, thereby keeping student costs down?

  • Cover the fees for students determined to be in need of financial support who normally wouldn't have the opportunity to participate?

  • Sponsor an annual three–day competition that enables schools to participate in a positive experience for students who are passionate about music?

  • Help organize, chaperone, and arrange student trips?

  • Provide the costuming and stage crew necessary for our competitive choirs to compete?

OUR COMMITTEES

Standing Committee Chairpersons

Standing Committees are assigned as needed and may be temporary in nature commensurate with needs of the Choral Department. Specialized needs may require nominations and appointments from the General Booster Membership.

This committee functions to raise funds to aid in costs not covered by the county school system, as well as offering financial assistance to those in need. Some of our annual costs include bus transportation, competition fees, purchasing music/equipment, choreography fees, student financial aid, and more.  (See our Fundraisers page.)

Parent volunteers are the key to a successful Choral Boosters organization. This committee shall coordinate parent volunteers for all events related to the Choral Boosters and Choral Department, in addition to coordinating student volunteers for our fundraising events, such as the Annual Car Show and Family Fun Day. (See our Volunteer Opportunities page.)

This committee shall function as an official welcoming committee for all choral functions and be responsible for organizing and serving refreshments and any other necessary aid for concerts, receptions, and events.

This committee shall provide costume fittings and maintain accurate documentation of assigned costumes, accessories, and props. This committee would also assist in the purchase of new costumes and accessories.

This committee shall provide the production of sets for the show choir competition shows. This committee would set–up and manage its volunteers, practice and time the set–up/take–down of sets in rehearsals with the show choirs, and maintain, store, and transport sets for competitions.
